Family Session- February 18, 2017
“This is our happily ever after.”
This family photo shoot was such a blast! The kids were so easy going and ready to smile- Mom and Dad were so great to work with as well. I actually have known Mom since elementary school- so it was a super mini reunion!
As I mentioned before, our winter has been nearly nonexistent and this day was no exception. It was over 80 degrees when we shot these photos- which makes for a laid back session but not a good winter!! Here are some highlights from our recent family session:
“She was always thinking outside of the box, breaking rules, and only following what her heart told her was right.”
— Shannon A. Thompson,
This spunky little girl is going to be a heart breaker when she gets older. She’s smart and cute- and she knows it 🙂 but at the same time, you can see the kindness and love she has inside. She was such a pleasure to photograph!
“Once upon a time, there was a boy. He lived in a village that no longer exists, in a house that no longer exists, on the edge of a field that no longer exists, where everything was discovered, and everything was possible. A stick could be a sword, a pebble could be a diamond, a tree, a castle.” –Nicole Krauss,
Oh brother!! I got such a kick out of this cute boy! He had the perfect personality to offset his sister and you could see it in his eyes. He’s not a fan of kisses at the moment but he is very interested in sticks of all shapes and sizes 🙂
Both sister and brother were full of smiles and “cheese.” It was impossible to NOT get adorable photos! They were very intrigued by the lake- there was a man fishing out golf balls and he let them try it on their own! It was fun watching them explore the outdoors and get attached to certain sticks!
“Surround yourself with those that make you happy.”
I’m so glad I had this opportunity to photograph a childhood friend and her adorable family. We told her daughter that we’ve known each other since elementary school and it was such a kick to see her little face try to comprehend the fact that her mom was once a little kid 🙂 I am excited to watch the kids grow up (but not too fast!)
